The Court Technology Office is charged with planning, support, and the implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure, applications, and a wide variety of technology resources.

Planning includes developing disaster recovery plans, strategic plans for future projects and to meet strategic goals, and evaluation and assessment of hardware, software, and specialized equipment to meet the operational needs of the court and to improve efficiency.

This office supports users' desktop equipment and applications, specialized technology in the courtrooms/hearing rooms, and implements proper security controls to protect the integrity and accessibility of court information.

SERVICES

Courtroom Technology
The circuit has available, audio/visual equipment for the presentation of multimedia based evidence at all locations within the circuit. This equipment consists of both built-in and mobile equipment and includes items such as projectors, screens, TVs, document cameras, VCR/DVD players and laptop interfacing equipment. These systems allow litigants to present various forms of multimedia based documentation and evidence such as PowerPoint presentations, video depositions, electronic documents, security video and other multimedia based information in the courtrooms.

Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis at a nominal fee of $25. Some systems and equipment will require training prior to usage, and training is available for all the equipment provided by the Tenth Judicial Circuit. A minimum of 48 hours prior notification is required to reserve any equipment. To reserve any of the equipment listed below in Polk County, call (863) 534-2585. It is strongly recommended that you test all media in advance. Court Technology is not responsible for operation of the equipment, fixing media, or presenting any materials before the court.
